Description

The Siemens 7SA610 is a SIPROTEC 4 distance protection relay used for primary protection of overhead lines and cables in 33 kV to 400 kV transmission and sub-transmission systems. It measures line impedance using mho and quadrilateral characteristics and trips the associated circuit breaker for line faults within defined impedance zones. The 7SA610 supports teleprotection schemes (PUTT, POTT, blocking) for fast end-to-end line protection.
