The High Voltage Inc. VLF-4022CM(F) is a portable Very Low Frequency (VLF) AC hi-pot test set rated for cable sheath and insulation testing, manufactured in the USA. It generates 0.1 Hz sinusoidal AC voltage up to the rated level for testing XLPE and EPR cable insulation without the high capacitive charging current associated with power frequency tests. The VLF method is a preferred technique for field testing of long extruded dielectric cables.
