The Messko/MR LMPRD-8PSI is a Pressure Release Device (PRD) manufactured in Germany, designed to protect power transformers from internal overpressure caused by faults. It opens at a set pressure of 8 PSI to rapidly vent gas and oil, preventing catastrophic tank rupture. The device reseals automatically and is equipped with a mechanical indicator flag to show operation.
