The ABB REF601 is a numerical feeder protection relay from ABB’s REF60x series, providing overcurrent, earth fault, and negative sequence protection for MV distribution feeders. It features a compact form factor with front-panel HMI, rear communication ports, and configurable protection logic. The REF601 is used in ABB-supplied 11 kV and 33 kV switchgear for feeder and transformer protection.
